Do you relate to any of these?
You know you need to stop, because it's affecting your health, your work, or maybe your relationships. You’ve tried to stop drinking, but it’s too hard or too scary to do it on your own.
How can coaching help me stop drinking?
Sober mindset coaching offers you a confidential and non-judgmental space to create the right steps towards living an amazing alcohol free life.
Rather than white-knuckling your way through the early days of not drinking, or feeling miserable now booze isn’t a part of your life, coaching gives you a new way to think about it all.
Together we work out what is driving you to use alcohol and once we've identified your triggers we can work out the best strategy for you to get through those early days of sobriety. But we don't stop there! This is about you living the best possible life. It's so important that your sober journey involves a positive focus, which means designing the life you truly want and developing an action plan to achieve it!
So start shaping the life that you want now that alcohol is out of the picture, and I promise you, life is so much better without it!
Don't dwell on the one thing you leave behind, embrace the many things you gain.
The unavoidable truth about alcohol
Myth 1 - Alcohol can be good for us right? A glass of red wine a day keeps the doctor away?
WRONG: Alcohol is a causal factor in more than 60 medical conditions, including: mouth, throat, stomach, liver and breast cancers; high blood pressure, cirrhosis of the liver; and depression.
Myth 2 - Drugs or sugar misuse are the biggest risk factors for death in young and middle-aged people.
WRONG: Alcohol misuse is the biggest risk factor for death, ill-health and disability among 15-49 year-olds in the UK, and the fifth biggest risk factor across all ages.
Myth 3 - As long as I keep under the recommended weekly limits I’m not doing my body or mind any harm.
WRONG: Recent research says that no amount of alcohol consumption is safe. Alcohol harm can affect any one of us, no matter what our age, background or location. It can have a negative impact on our health and wellbeing in all sorts of ways, sometimes on a daily basis - from the quality of the sleep we’re getting to our relationships with those we love to our jobs.
